Michael Pavlic returns to Sony Pictures

Exec will oversee creative ad campaigns for films

Michael Pavlic has rejoined Sony Pictures’ worldwide marketing and distribution division as senior vp creative advertising.

Pavlic, who will report to president Tommy Gargotta, will oversee the creative advertising campaigns, including theatrical trailers, television and radio spots, and in-theater and outdoor print advertising for several of Columbia Pictures’ upcoming releases, such as “The Green Hornet,” “Battle: Los Angeles” and the forthcoming CGI animated motion picture “Hotel Transylvania” from Sony Pictures Animation.

Pavlic, who most recently was producer-editor at marketing firm Big Picture Entertainment, was manager of creative advertising at Sony from 2003-05.
