Matt Lauria, Emma Appleton, Brandon P. Bell, Keeley Hawes and Luke Treadaway also will star in the period spy thriller.
Michael Stuhlbarg is among the actors announced as the cast for Channel 4's upcoming period spy drama Jerusalem.
The Shape of Water star is joined by Matt Lauria (Friday Night Lights); Brandon P. Bell (Dear White People); Emma Appleton (The End of the F***ing World, Clique); Luke Treadaway (Ordeal by Innocence, Fortitude); Keeley Hawes (The Missing, Line of Duty); and Stephen Campbell Moore (The Last Post, The Child in Time).
Set in the aftermath of World War II, Jerusalem will see Appleton play an ambitious British civil servant who agrees to spy on her own government for the Americans and is determined to ensure England's burgeoning Socialist ambitions don't play into Soviet hands. Struggling to work out what she stands for and what she's capable of, she must learn to think for herself and play by her own rules at a time when knowledge becomes power, and nothing and no one are what they seem.
Created and written by Bash Doran (Boardwalk Empire, Looming Tower, Masters of Sex) Jerusalem is a co-production between London- and L.A.-based management and production company 42 and Warner Bros. TV's Twenty Twenty banner.
The series was commissioned for Channel 4 by the network's drama head, Beth Willis, and international drama boss, Simon Maxwell, and is co-funded by Channel 4 and all3Media international.
