Michelle Obama Wears Byron Lars Dress In The New First Family Official Portrait
Sasha and Malia Obama have grown up so fast that the Obamas decided to update their family portrait, which was shot in the Oval Office
President Barack Obama may be gettng a little nervous about his campaign for his presidential reelection, but in this new portrait of the First Family, he looks downright laid back. The official White House photo released on Dec. 15 shows the Obamas in their holiday best. Taken by White House photographer Pete Souza in the Oval Office, the photo captures the Obamas smiling and holding hands with their daughters, Sasha, 13 and Malia, 10, who certainly look mature and grown-up, which was part of the reason for the updated family photo. The last official portrait was taken in 2009 in the Green Room by Annie Leibovitz.

We could not help noticing that Michelle Obama is wearing a black sleeveless dress from Byron Lars's Beauty Mark line. And it's the exact same dress she wore to the memorial dedication ceremony of the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center this year. We love that she wears outfits more than once, just like we do.
Wall Street Journal Fashion Scribe Teri Agins, an astute follower of Michelle's fashions, was the the first to notice the link to the 9/11 anniversary, breaking the news on her Facebook page. She also loves Byron Lars Beauty Mark line and admits that she even tried on this very dress.
