The comedy originated from Myers' and Carvey's Saturday Night Live sketch about wacky teenagers Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar, who hosted a public access talk show about their love for hard rock bands and girls from Wayne's basement in Aurora, Ill. In Myers' 1992 film debut, the friends try to save their show from the hands of a network executive with big-budget plans to change its image. It earned more than $180 million worldwide.

Wayne's World left an imprint on pop culture with its catch phrases such as "Schwing" and "Party On!" The soundtrack also helped Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" song reach No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart more than 15 years after its original release. The new print will be screened courtesy of the Academy Film Archive and Paramount.
