Mike Barker will direct from a script by author Jessica Knoll.

Mila Kunis will star in the feature film adaptation Luckiest Girl Alive for Netflix.

The bestselling novel from Jessica Knoll centers on Ani FaNelli, a sharp-tongued New Yorker who appears to have it all: a sought-after position at a glossy magazine, a killer wardrobe, and a dream Nantucket wedding on the horizon. But when the director of a crime documentary invites her to tell her side of the shocking incident that took place when she was a teenager at the prestigious Bradley School, Ani is forced to confront a dark truth that threatens to unravel her meticulously crafted life.

Mike Barker, whose credits include episodes of The Handmaid's Tale and Fargo, will direct from a script by Knoll.

Bruna Papandrea and Jeanne Snow will produce for Made Up Stories, with Erik Feig and Lucy Kitada for Picturestart and Mila Kunis for her Orchard Farm Productions. Knoll, Lisa Sterbakov, Shayne Fiske Goldner and Steve Hutensky will executive produce.

Kunis, who is represented by CAA, Curtis Talent Management, and Felker Toczek, can currently be seen in Breaking News in Yuba County.

Knoll is represented by CAA, Paradigm and Kleinberg Lange. Barker is represented by CAA, the U.K.'s Independent Talent Group, and Jackoway Austen.
