The 'Bleed for This' star will receive the inaugural Granite Award at the acting conservatory's 25th anniversary event.

Miles Teller will be honored by Stonestreet Studios, the New York City studio and conservatory at which he trained.

The Bleed for This star will be honored at Stonestreet’s 25th anniversary celebration, set for Nov. 14 at TAJ in Chelsea. John Cameron Mitchell will present the award.

Teller will receive the inaugural Granite Award, given to an actor, director, producer or screenwriter who has emerged from Stonestreet’s in-house conservatory and gone on to create provocative, meaningful and relevant independent film and television projects, reflecting Stonestreet’s mission and highlighting its dual nature as conservatory and production company.

Stonestreet Studios, founded in 1991 in New York City by director/producer/creators Alyssa Rallo Bennett and Gary O. Bennett, is a unique combination independent film and television studio and screen acting and production conservatory. It is the exclusive screen acting and production partner of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Drama program. Fellow Stonestreet grads include Idina Menzel, Selma Blair, Karen Gillan and Renee Felice Smith.

“Gary and I feel like the proud parents of so many amazing and talented people, careers and projects — Miles being the shining star of them as he is so very hard-working, constantly stretching himself,” says director and program creator Alyssa Rallo Bennett. “He continues to evolve and surprise and never loses his vulnerability onscreen.”
