Milla Jovovich, Pierce Brosnan Thriller 'Survivor' Acquired by Alchemy

U.S. distribution rights to Survivor have been acquired by indie distributor Alchemy, the company announced on Friday. 

The film features Milla Jovovich, Pierce Brosnan, Dylan McDermott, Angela Bassett and Robert ForsterJames McTeigue (V for Vendetta) directed the drama from a script by Phil Shelby. Alchemy plans a multiplatform release sometime in 2015.

The film concerns a London Foreign Service officer who is trying to prevent a New York terrorist attack but is on the run after being framed for crimes.

Survivor is produced by Charles Winkler, Irwin Winkler, Matt O’Toole and Les Weldon and executive produced by Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, John Thompson and Jason Bloom.

Alchemy is the new name of the company formed in January 2015, five months after CEO Bill Lee and investors including Virgo Investment Group orchestrated a management buyout from Lerner's Nu Image/Millennium Films.

"We’re thrilled to continue to acquire and release select films from Millennium Films' production pipeline,” said Lee in a statement.
