Miller tapped as NBC Sports exec vp


NBC Sports said it promoted Jon Miller to executive vp.
Miller's new job will give him continued oversight over NBC Sports programming and new duties with NBC Sports' sales. He'll report to NBC Sports President Ken Schanzer.
Miller has been senior vp of NBC Sports since September 1995. He oversees sports programming for the network including the NFL, the NHL, the Kentucky Derby, Preakness States, the PGA Tour and the U.S. Open as well as Wimbledon. He's also in charge of international distribution for NBC Sports.
Before becoming senior vp, Miller was vp of programming planning and development since beginning in 1988, and before that an account executive with NBC Sports.` The Washington, D.C., native has worked at NBC since 1978, when he was an account executive at WRC-TV.
