Paul Feig was previously attached to direct but exited due to scheduling conflicts.

Ganatra has directed for a slew of TV series including Kaling’s The Mindy Project, along with Dear White People, Girls, Fresh Off the Boat and three episodes of Transparent. She also helmed the feature films Chutney Popcorn (1999), Cosmopolitan (2003) and Cake (2005). Ganatra is currently directing her first pilot with Highland, TNT’s comedic drama starring Margaret Cho.
