MIPCOM: Disney Channel Airing Maker Studios Halloween Special

The 22-minute program will air during 'Monstober'

The Disney Channel and Disney XD have committed to airing a special block of programming from Disney-owned Maker Studios, the companies announced at MIPCOM.

The program will air as an unscripted clip show featuring digital and traditional talent and showcasing top content from Maker's network of YouTube stars. It will also feature Maker-produced original vignettes and sketches made for the Disney Channel.

The first Maker program will air as part of Disney Channel's annual Monstober programming event and will feature Halloween-themed content. The special will include two 11-minute episodes airing as a 22-minute program.

The Disney XD program will follow a similar format as the Disney Channel special, but will feature pranks from Maker creators.

Disney acquired Maker Studios, which works with YouTubers such as Swedish gamer PewDiePie and musician Mike Tompkins, in March for up to $950 million.
