The Imax giant screen travelogue provides a history of the ancient city in Israel, including access to sacred places for three major religions.

Electus International has inked a deal taking over global distribution rights for the Imax giant screen documentary Jerusalem, narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch.

The deal, unveiled on the eve of MIPCOM in Cannes, includes the TV, SVOD and home video rights to the 45-minute title from writer/director Daniel Ferguson and Cosmic Picture and Arcane Pictures. Jerusalem takes audiences on a tour of the ancient city in Israel, focusing on how it has been destroyed and rebuilt countless times over its 5,000 year history.

FilmBuff will distribute Jerusalem domestically on major VOD platforms, and also negotiated a DVD and Blu-ray release by MPI Media Group during the 2015 holiday season. Imax is currently playing Jerusalem on around 30 museum and science center screens.
