PARIS  -- Amy Poehler will join Broad City stars Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer on the Cote d’Azur, as the team gathers for a panel entitled “The Power of Comedy” on the opening day of the television industry's annual conference.

Poehler is executive producer of the series, and will be joined by Comedy Central’s content development president Kent Alterman and parent company Viacom’s international program sales svp Caroline Beaton to discuss how Web series are impacting the development pipeline for comedy programs.

The panel will delve into Viacom’s research into international comedy production, “Comedy Across Borders,” and address how to adapt comedy from online to traditional television.

The Web-to-TV model has been successful for Broad City, which developed as an online hit created by Glazer and Jacobson, which they produced for two years, from 2009 to 2011. Since premiering its ten-episode season in January, Broad City has averaged 1.2 million viewers.

Poehler announced Feb. 24 that it had been renewed for a second season.

The series will be launching for international syndication at MIPTV, which begins Apr. 7 in Cannes.
