Revolver Swims

CANNES — British distributor Revolver Entertainment has acquired exclusive U.K. and Irish home entertainment rights to Turner's Adult Swim. Revolver will handle more than 100 titles, including "Aqua Teen Hunger Force," "Robot Chicken," "12 Ounce Mouse," "Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law" and "Space Ghost Coast to Coast."

New gig for Robin

CANNES — France 4 head Hayet Zeggar stepped down Tuesday to make way for France 5 topper Claude-Yves Robin, who will run both public networks, France Televisions said. Although Robin will head France 4 and France 5, France Televisions said it hopes to maintain "the independence and function of each network." Zeggar gave up her post for "personal reasons."

Disney, SBS deal

CANNES — Disney-ABC International Television is spreading its small-screen magic across Europe with multiyear free-TV agreements with SBS in Belgium and the Netherlands, Disney said Tuesday. Thanks to the renewed deal, TV viewers in Belgium and the Netherlands will be able to watch the latest seasons of popular ABC series including "Lost," "Grey's Anatomy" and "Ugly Betty" as well as new additions "Private Practice," "Samantha Who?" and "Dirty Sexy Money."

MGM in Israel

CANNES — MGM Networks is saying shalom to a new high-definition version of its localized channel in Israel starting this month, MGM said Tuesday. The HD version of Israel's MGM channel, 100%-owned by MGM, will be simulcast with the existing standard network in the territory, both of which will be subtitled in Hebrew.
