MIPTV: Endemol Takes Israeli Reality Show 'The Extra Mile'

Dutch TV giant Endemol has acquired format rights of upcoming Israeli reality competition show The Extra Mile in a multiterritory deal, including the U.K., Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Turkey and across Scandinavia.

The format features divorced couples who barely speak to each other forced to put their differences aside to work together. The duos go through a series of extreme challenges with the grand prize being a trust fund for their children.

The original Israeli edition of The Extra Mile, which shot in the Philippines, is tentatively set to debut next month on Channel 10 and is generating buzz locally.

The format is represented at MIPTV by Israeli content and production company Studio Glam, a joint venture by Ilan and Ami Glam.
