'Incarnate,' a supernatural horror series that Clive Barker is producing, will be the group's first project.

Canadian production house Copperheart Entertainment and Clark Peterson's Remstar Studios have set up a joint venture with German group Palatin Media to co-develop and produce TV series for the world market.

The first production under the joint venture will be the one-hour supernatural horror series Incarnate, which Hellraiser creator Clive Barker is executive producing together with Peterson and Copperheart's Steven Hoban. Palatin will handle international sales of Incarnate and is introducing the series to buyers at MipTV this week in Cannes.

The Munich-based Palatin, set up by former TeleMunchen managing director Bernd Schlotterer, will act as international sales agent on all the series it co-produces with Copperheart and Remstar. Palatin also has picked up sales rights for Copperheart's Darknet, a horror-anthology series based on a Japanese format and co-created by Vincenzo Natali (Cube). The first season of Darknet went out on Netflix's English-language services.

"What makes this joint venture exciting is the ability to put together productions with top North American and European talent in collaboration with such dynamic producers as Clark and Steve," said Schlotterer in a statement.

Hoban and Peterson are currently in development on HBO series Shakedown, a drama about the seedy world of 1950s Hollywood, which David Fincher and writer James Ellroy are executive producing. Peterson is currently in production on the CBS pilot Taxi-22, an adaptation of the hit French-Canadian series of the same name.
