Miranda, Garcia exit HBO vp posts

Jada Miranda and Mike Garcia, longtime HBO development executives, have stepped down as vp comedy and drama, respectively.

Miranda, who joined HBO in 2003, will stay in the network fold as a producer with a multiyear development deal. She also is joining HBO's upcoming comedy series "How to Make It in America," which she developed.

On the series, she will serve as an exec producer alongside Ian Edelman, Stephen Levinson, Mark Wahlberg and Rob Weiss.

Garcia, who joined HBO in 2002, is leaving to pursue other endeavors.

Staying on are HBO vp drama Gina Balian and vp comedy Casey Bloys.

Joining the network is David Levine, who will serve as a drama consultant. (partialdiff)
