Miromar's Morales going solo

COLOGNE, Germany -- Michel Morales has stepped down as head of German boutique production house Miromar, to focus on directing and producing films independently. Peter Heizmann replaces Morales as CEO of Miromar.

Since Morales set up Miromar in 2003, it has produced a handful of German and international feature films, including Heather Graham romantic comedy "Miss Conception," a co-production with Berlin's Blue Angel films, and the Nazi-era drama "Good," featuring Viggo Mortensen and Jason Isaacs.

Morales is currently in preproduction on the action drama "CarPirates," which he also plans to direct.
