The 22-year-old daughter of actor Kelsey Grammer tells us what she'll be doing to get ready for her new high-profile gig at next year's Golden Globes

After actress Greer Grammer (daughter of Kelsey Grammer) was honored with the 2015 Miss Golden Globe title on Thursday night, James Marsden, Sarah Hyland, Scandal’s Darby Stanchfield and Jane the Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez were on deck to celebrate. Stars toasted Grammer’s new role at a swanky cocktail reception following Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Theo Kingma’s announcement at Fig & Olive in West Hollywood. Grammer, who currently stars in MTV’s Awkward, arrived in a glittery Patricia Bonaldi dress with an Armani clutch.

Marsden and Lizzy Caplan shared laughs inside, while former ShondaLand stars Dan Bucatinsky and Kate Walsh caught up over hors d'oeuvres of beef sliders and truffle risotto. Matthew Morrison and George Kotsiopoulos struck poses together at the Twitter booth sponsored by Moet Champagne.

As next year's Miss Golden Globe, Grammer will assist in handing out the golden statuettes to stars at the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 11. Before she takes to the stage in two months, The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Grammer after the big announcement to talk about prepping for her new high-profile gig.

Have you always looked forward to being Miss Golden Globe?

I grew up watching the Golden Globes. I would look at Miss Golden Globe every year and hope that I would be able to do that. I’m so happy to be joining a long line of actresses [Dakota Johnson, Francesca Eastwood and Sosie Bacon are past honorees].

What's the number one thing you'll need to do to get ready that night?

Oh, my gosh — practice walking in my heels. I did pageants, so I’m usually really good at it, but the last thing I would want is to trip while giving somebody their award.

Do you have a designer in mind that you would like to wear?

Clearly I love Chanel, Dior and Armani. Mikael D is one of my favorites that I wear a lot. I’m just looking for everything. I plan on trying on 20 different dresses just to see how it’s all going to work. I like to be silhouetted. I like things that hug my waist and give me some sort of definition in my body and having it sort of loose at the bottom.

Did your parents have any advice for you?

My dad, specifically, knows that it’s going to be a blast. He’s just mainly proud and excited to see me onstage and see how I do.

What’s something we may not know about you?

I don’t know how interesting it is, but I love Disneyland. You will find me at Disneyland every single week. I go all the time, especially during the holidays. I’m a huge Disney nerd. I’m a 5-year-old.

What is your daily beauty regimen?

I put my hair up in a bun before I go to bed, because your hair can get oils on your pillow and that can make you break out, so I always put my hair up before I go to sleep. I use eye cream to make sure I look well-rested, and I always like to drink water or tea before I go to bed, because there’s something about it that’s really soothing to me. I wake up feeling more refreshed. You know when you wake up and you’re feeling really thirsty? That doesn’t happen when you drink a whole glass of water before you go to bed.

What would you like to know from past Miss Golden Globes?

I’d like to know how the carpet is, how intimidating it is and being onstage. Where do I go? I’d also want to know how you hold the award, and how do you hand it to people nicely and not throw it at them?
