'Blood' brothers

Ricky Schroder and Darrin Henson have been tapped to star in writer-director Jeb Stuart's indie film "Blood Done Sign My Name," based on the book by Tim Tyson that follows the true story of the murder and aftermath of a black Vietnam vet in 1970 in Oxford, N.C. Schroder will play Rev. Vernon Tyson, while Henson will play Eddie McCoy. The film, which is in production in North Carolina, is produced by Stuart through his Real Folk Prods. as well as Mari Stuart and Mel Efros. Schroder is repped by Innovative and the Hofflund Co.; Henson is with Innovative and Adam Griffin of Kritzer Levine Wilkins.

Antena in Green Zone

As part of its international expansion, Antena 3 Films has come aboard to partially finance Universal and Working Title's untitled Green Zone thriller, directed by Paul Greengrass and starring Matt Damon. Antena's Tedy Villalba and Alvaro Ron will serve as associate producers on the film. The project is currently shooting in Spain, Morocco and the U.K.

'Hickory' picks up Sims

Molly Sims has joined the cast of Velveteen Films' indie drama "Hickory Nation." Written and directed by Velveteen's Rebecca Cook, the film revolves around a small Maine coastal community dealing with the aftermath of a mysterious hit-and-run accident. Sims plays a teacher in the town who lost her daughter. Aimee Teegarden plays a local beauty queen who is one of her students. Sims is repped by WMA and Untitled. Teegarden is repped by Innovative Artists.
