Shift changes at CNN

CNN is saying goodbye to several longtime correspondents and promoting others in a reorganization of the news network's Washington bureau. Among the moves, Washington-based correspondents Jamie McIntyre, Kathleen Koch and Kelli Arena are leaving the channel, according to reports, while Ed Henry was named senior White House correspondent.

Leno on a roll

NBC is savoring Jay Leno's late-night performance in the fewer than 160 episodes of "The Tonight Show" he has left. The week before the broadcaster said Leno would move to primetime, "Tonight" brought in its biggest audience since February, averaging 5.3 million viewers during the week ending Dec. 5, Nielsen said. Late-night ratings are a week behind, so the ratings from last week won't be known until Thursday.

Stewart cooking

NBC Universal has renewed its daytime series "The Martha Stewart Show" for a fifth season in more than 60% of the U.S. Top-market stations renewing the strip through the 2009-10 season include WNBC New York, KNBC Los Angeles and WMAQ Chicago.

Thomas Chabin has replaced Stefan Barchfeld as commercial director of German cable channel Das Vierte, the latest in a series of appointments.
