Big leap for Disney XD

Disney XD, which is rebranding from Toon Disney in February, is partnering with daredevil Robbie Knievel for a 2-D animated comedy series about a 12-year-old boy who wants to become the world's greatest daredevil. "Kid Knievel," from Walt Disney Television Animation, marks the first animated show for Disney XD, which is primarily targeted at boys ages 6-14 and their families. Knievel will serve as a stunt consultant on the series, which is in production for a fall 2009 premiere.

'Fringe' benefit

Michael Gaston has joined Fox's drama "Fringe" in the recurring role of senior FBI agent Sanford Harris. Gaston ("W.") is repped by Innovative Artists.

'Anarchy' math

FX said Thursday that its freshman drama "Sons of Anarchy" averaged 5.8 million weekly total viewers now that Live+7 data from Nielsen is available. That's a 16% jump compared with the live numbers.

Granada America has upped four executives in its program development department: Colet Abedi to vp development, Brian Zagorski to vp current programming, Robert Baltazar to director of development and current programming and Elvia Flores to manager of development and current programming.
