John Legend's fiancee gets flack from Leigh Whannell after tweeting a negative review of the blockbuster horror film "The Conjuring."

Chrissy Teigen, model and fiancee of singer John Legend, unwittingly ignited a Twitter feud with Saw screenwriter Leigh Whannell after posting a negative review of The Conjuring, the hit horror film directed by Whannell's friend James Wan.

"Well. Keeping with my apparent theme of being a complete contrarian, I did not find the conjuring scary at all and mostly laughed to myself," Teigen tweeted Thursday, to which Whannell responded: "Models talking - now that's chuckle worthy."

While the Twitter-verse rushed to her defense, Teigen retweeted Whannell's remark, countering: "You take criticism well. PS, loved insidious. Man up, slugger." More bon mots, courtesy of Teigen:

"Perhaps he's taking a break to groom that awesome henchman-that-gets-killed-by-Liam-Neeson-in-Taken 2 facial hair," quipped film critic Richard Roeper, fueling the fire.

Whannell, a writer-producer of the Saw franchise, wrote the 2011 horror flick Insidious, which was helmed by Wan, his Saw collaborator. The Conjuring, which cost $20 million to make, is ruling the summer box office, stealing moviegoers from such flops as R.I.P.D. and The Lone Ranger.

Whannell tweeted at Teigen, "you fired off your opinion about my mates film, I fired off a response. It's twitter. Storm, meet teacup."
