MOMI salutes Stiller at 24th annual event

Ben Stiller has been selected as this year's honoree for the Museum of the Moving Image's 24th annual black-tie salute.

The event, which benefits MOMI's education programs, is scheduled for Nov. 12 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York. Stiller's colleagues are expected to pay tribute and present clips from his film career.

"Ben Stiller is one of the great talents of American entertainment: a memorable actor, an accomplished director and writer, an Emmy Award winner and an innovative producer," MOMI director Rochelle Slovin said.

Stiller follows in the footsteps of last year's honoree, his "Tropic Thunder" co-star Tom Cruise. Other Stiller screen partners to receive the honor include Robert De Niro and Dustin Hoffman. (partialdiff)
