Morgan Freeman Joins 'Ted 2'

Seth MacFarlane directs and voices the vulgar teddy bear

Morgan Freeman will be spending some time helping out a foul-mouthed teddy bear.

The actor has joined the cast of Ted 2, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Seth MacFarlane returns to write, direct and voice the obscene teddy bear while Mark Wahlberg will return to star. Amanda Seyfried has also joined the cast of Universal and MRC's sequel.

Ted 2 is currently filming and is produced by Scott Stuber. It's slated for release on June 26, 2015.

Ted, which hit theaters in June 2012, went on to become the highest-grossing R-rated film of the year and the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time with a worldwide box-office tally of $549.4 million.

Freeman, who is profiled in THR's first Doctors Issue today alongside holistic internist Dr. Soram Khalsa, will next be seen in Dolphin Tale 2, hitting theaters this weekend. His recent films include Lucy and Transcendence. He's repped by CAA and Sloane Offer.
