Morrissey signs with ie:music

Deal confirms split with Merck Mercuriadis

LONDON -- Morrissey has joined ie:music, the British management firm that guides the career of Robbie Williams.

The former Smiths singer will now be managed on a global basis by Josie Cliff, who heads up the firm's U.S. division ie:west, and by ie's founders Tim Clark and David Enthoven.

The deal confirms the British singer's split with manager Merck Mercuriadis, the former CEO of defunct Sanctuary U.S.

Founded in 1992 by Clark and Enthoven, ie:music represents a small roster of artists, including Sia, Craig Armstrong, Passenger, Archive and the Asteroids Galaxy Tour.
