'Mr. Robot's' Portia Doubleday Does NYFW for the First Time

When Mr. Robot's Portia Doubleday isn't starring as Angela Moss, an Allsafe Cybersecurity employee and childhood friend of Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) on the Golden Globe-winning USA series, the actress is killing it on the red carpet.
Doubleday most recently caught our attention when she stepped out for the Critics' Choice Awards in a sheer embroidered gown by Novis, and then again when she arrived at Jonathan Simkhai's fall 2016 show at Made by Milk Studios, where she donned a hip-hugging lace-up dress by the designer.
Sharing that it was her first fashion week, the blond beauty described her experience as being "amazing" and "a whirlwind," but luckily her stylist has made the process of finding the perfect fashion week outfits a breeze.
"Monty Jackson makes everything easy ... he's incredible," Doubleday said of her style guru, who also dresses her sister, Empire's Kaitlin Doubleday, and Scream Queens' Skyler Samuels.
"We're meticulous. We do at least three fittings for one look," shared the actress of when they prep for red carpets. "He has such an incredible eye. And you know, we put a lot of work into each look. He does not let one thing slide, ever."
We have no doubt that's the case, as Doubleday looked as polished as ever — even off the step and repeat — on the front rows for Lela Rose and Reem Acra, too.
