MRC Taps Erin Jontow as VP Television

She'll focus on acquisition and development of current and future TV fare.

MRC has tapped Erin Jontow vp television.

In her new role, Jontow will focus on the acquisition and development of current and future projects at the independent film, television and digital studio. She'll report to Joe Hipps, senior vp television at MRC.

The company, which produces Netflix's House of Cards, is in preproduction on AMC's Knifeman and has a television development deal with Babel director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu for an hourlong drama series that he'll direct. He co-created the series with Nicolas Giacobone, Armando Bo and Alexander Dinelaris.

Jontow arrives at MRC from BBC America, where she was vp scripted programming and oversaw the development and production of Orphan Black and Copper. Before that, Jontow spent three years at Comedy Central.
