Police on Lookout for 'Mrs. Doubtfire' Bank Robbery Suspect in Santa Cruz (Photos)
The suspect is described by police as male, 25-35 years old, 160-170 pounds, 5-foot-5, with dark skin.
Santa Cruz police have just issued an advisory, asking locals to keep an eye out for a man who allegedly robbed a bank while dressed as an older woman, a man investigators have dubbed the "Mrs. Doubtfire Bank Robbery Suspect."
Police released the photos Tuesday, claiming the man dressed up as a woman to case one bank before robbing another just an hour later.
According to police, the US Bank in question was robbed at approximately 3 p.m. on Friday. The suspect allegedly used a note to demand an undisclosed sum of money. No weapon was seen and nobody was hurt.
The photos were taken at the nearby Rabo Bank an hour prior. Police believe the suspect was casing the Rabo Bank before moving on to the US Bank, his primary target.
The suspect is described by police as male, 25-35 years old, 160-170 pounds, 5-foot-5, with dark skin. When the photos were taken, the suspect was wearing glasses, a wavy blond wig, navy blue scrubs, and a light purple long-sleeve undershirt.
"The Santa Cruz Police Department is in need of some help from the community," the advisory reads. "We believe these are great photos of the suspect and somebody in the community has to recognize this person."
