MSN, Nokia to ring in New Year globally
EmptyMSN has partnered with Nokia to launch a Web site that will house exclusive concert footage from various New Year's Eve celebrations throughout the word.
The new branded entertainment hub (nokianewyearseve.msn.com) will stream live footage of Nokia's Five cities, One party event a series live concerts from Hong Kong, Berlin, New York, Mumbai and Rio as fans countdown to 2007 from east to west in five different time zones. The site will also feature exclusive interviews with artists, such as Nelly Furtado and Scissor Sisters.
MSN plans to promote the event through a branded link within its Window Live Messenger product.
The new co-branded Web platform is the first high profile content move to come from MSN since former top sales executive Joanne Bradford was tapped to head up the Microsoft-owned portal.
"We're pleased to collaborate with Nokia as they share our passion for connecting people and creating exceptional community experiences," said Joanne Bradford, MSN's chief media officer in announcing the new partnership.
