Calvin Harris to Perform at MTV EMAs

Britain's Charli XCX, Canada's Kiesza and U.K. rock duo Royal Blood will also take to the stage

Viacom-owned MTV on Thursday added more star power to the lineup for the MTV EMAs next month in Glasgow, Scotland.

Scotland-born DJ and producer Calvin Harris is set to take the MTV EMA stage for the first time. In addition, British act Charli XCX, Canadian electro-pop singer Kiesza and U.K. rock duo Royal Blood will also perform.

The news was posted across the artists’ social media accounts on Thursday morning. The MTV EMAs will air live on MTV channels around the world from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on Nov. 9.

Harris has been nominated in the best electronic and best U.K. & Ireland act categories of the EMAs. Kiesza has been nominated for best new, best video for "Hideaway" and two other categories. Charli XCX has been nominated in the best push and best new categories.

Nicki Minaj is set to host the MTV EMAs. Previously announced performers include Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and Minaj. British rock legend Ozzy Osbourne will be honored with the Global Icon Award.
