MTV Euro Awards go mobile


LONDON -- Thursday's MTV Europe Music Awards will be the first to be simulcast on mobile television in Europe, accessible to more than 20 million 3G users across the continent, MTV Networks International said Wednesday.

The event, which kicks off at 9 p.m., will be aired live on MTV's mobile TV channels in nine European countries.

Hosted by Justin Timberlake, who also will perform, the awards will feature performances by Keane, the Killers, Muse, Nelly Furtado, P Diddy, Rihanna and Snoop Dogg. The EMAs will be broadcast on mobile TV channels in Germany, the U.K., Ireland, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden and Austria.
