MTV Germany shuffles management
EmptyMUNICH -- MTV Networks Germany is restructuring its management after departures over the past several months, the company said Tuesday.
Juergen Hopfgartner is now vp digital media and network development, replacing Joel Berger, who left MTV during the summer.
The network's up-and-coming niche channels -- kids' Nick and Comedy Central -- will be taken over by Elmar Giglinger, who is already responsible for music channels MTV and Viva. Giglinger will be named senior vp music and comedy channels, replacing Markus Andorfer, who is leaving the network at the end of the year.
In addition, Oliver Schablitzki has been promoted from director of program and channel management at Nick to vp.
The company also has created two new management posts: vp marketing and vp strategic services and operational developments, with the former to be occupied by the current director of marketing, Imke Deigner, and the latter by human resources, strategy, research and communications director Ulrike Heuser.
