In addition to her expanded role in the unscripted department, she'll continue to serve as exec vp series development.

MTV has upped Lauren Dolgen's stake in its reality department, expanding her role as West Coast head of reality and placing her in charge of all unscripted programming. She'll continue to also serve as exec vp series development.

“Lauren eats, sleeps and breathes pop culture, creativity and storytelling, and her passion is evident in the many hit series she’s brought to air,” said MTV programming president Susanne Daniels, to whom Dolgen will continue to report. “With Lauren’s expertise and unique sensibility, we know our reality development teams will thrive under her unified leadership.”

Dolgen, still based out of the network's Santa Monica offices, is an 18-year veteran of MTV. She will oversee development and strategy on all MTV reality. That will include purview of current series such as the Teen Mom franchise, Ridiculousness and Are You The One?.

On the scripted side, Dolgen will continue to be a counterpart to senior vp Mina Lefevre, who recently brought in Faking It, Finding Carter and Eye Candy — as well as forthcoming series Scream and The Shannara Chronicles.
