MTV Movie & TV Awards Red Carpet Evacuated After Rain and Hail Hit L.A.
Journalists were forced to seek shelter in a parking garage, as MTV relocated its preshow indoors.
Stars and the media were forced to evacuate the red carpet at Sunday's MTV Movie & TV Awards due to inclement weather.
With no cover provided, those on the red carpet outside Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium were pelted with rain, and then hail. Many were relocated to a parking garage to take cover as the remainder of MTV's preshow appeared to move indoors. (Hail, of course, is not a common sight in Los Angeles.)

The preshow also featured performances from several artists, some of whom braved the weather and played on as scheduled.
Seeing @AllTimeLow play on MTV in the pouring rain is making me feel some type of way (emo)— Sweet Potato Fry (@Molly_x0) May 7, 2017
