MTV Networks in 'Peak Season' pickup

Move follows VH1 acquiring the Canadian series

TORONTO -- MTV Canada is to see its Whistler-based docusoap "Peak Season" bow on around 20 MTV Networks channels worldwide this spring.

The move follows VH1 acquiring the series about twentysomethings living in the Canadian ski resort to air over ten nights from Feb. 14 during the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympics from Whistler/Vancouver (HR, Jan. 28).

"Peak Season," which was developed and produced by Free Form Productions, bowed on MTV Canada in fall 2009.
