'Murder on the Orient Express' Trailer: Johnny Depp, Josh Gad, Daisy Ridley Are Stranded Suspects

Kenneth Branagh directs and stars in the Fox film, also featuring Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench and Michelle Pfeiffer.

A slew of stars are stranded suspects in the first trailer for Murder on the Orient Express.

Adapting Agatha Christie's best-selling 1934 novel, Kenneth Branagh directs and stars in the Fox film as Hercule Poirot, the Belgian detective who investigates a murder aboard a lavish sleeper train through Europe while surrounded by duplicitous passengers.

One long take in the stylish trailer labels each member of the buzzy ensemble, which includes Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Josh Gad and Leslie Odom Jr.

"There is something about a tangle of strangers pressed together for days with nothing in common but the need to go from one place to another and never see each other again," says Branagh, who identifies himself as "probably the greatest detective in the world."

Michael Green penned the screenplay for the film, which is produced by Branagh, Ridley Scott, Mark Gordon, Simon Kinberg, Michael Schaefer and Judy Hofflund.

Murder on the Orient Express hits theaters Nov. 10.
