Radiohead's back catalog is finally available for sale via Apple's iTunes Music Store. The band's first six studio albums and a new "Best Of" release are available in DRM-free files. Radiohead had been holding out because of its desire for fans to buy the albums in complete form rather than as individual tracks. The Beatles, Garth Brooks and AC/DC are the last superstar acts without an iTunes presence.


Independent roots label Rounder has signed an extensive international licensing deal with Universal Music Group's Decca label. Decca will release and promote a large part of Rounder's current repertoire and catalog. Rounder already is enjoying a profitable relationship with Decca on the Robert Plant/ Alison Krauss album "Raising Sand," for which it estimates worldwide sales approaching 2 million.

Executives of Vornado Realty Trust plan to close the Times Square Virgin Megastore in the first quarter. Vornado and Related Cos. bought Virgin Megastores North America last year. "We bought the Virgin business to wind it down to get ahold of the real estate," Vornado executive vp Sandeep Mathrani said. Virgin pays only a $54 per square foot when the market rent in the area is about $700, Mathrani said.
