The north London powerhouse arrived in a sleek black Burberry gown. Adele has experienced a dramatic year full of triumph and victory -- from her vocal surgery in November to a six-Grammy win on Feb. 12. The singer rocked the O2 Arena with “Rolling in the Deep” and won the BRIT awards for best album and best British female solo artist, providing one of the evening's most talked-about moments by flipping the bird to producers during an acceptance speech.

The British beauty’s acceptance speech for Album of The Year had hardly begun before she was cut off mid-sentence, while boasting about her native country. Just before Adele was escorted offstage, she abruptly flipped the bird to the audience and television cameras. Backstage, the chanteuse told reporters that the finger was “aimed at the suits at the BRIT Awards, not my fans.”
