The summer of Taylor Hicks is about to get finger-licking good. The American Idol champ makes his Food Network debut on Paula Deen’s, show, Paula’s Best Dishes, Aug. 4.
The Season 5 winner taped the show last December, and according to Deen’s website, Hicks will help “cook up some road house eats for her famous poker party.”
So what’s on the menu? Deen promises “Ham and Double Cheese Turnovers with Honey-Mustard Dipping Sauce”, and a “Cheeseburger Pizza that will rock and roll your world”.
Finally, who knew Hicks — whom Deen tweeted is a “cutie pie” — was a budding chef in his own right? The Alabama soul-singer will share his recipe for Crawfish Rolls. For dessert, he will strum a tune or two at Deen’s table.
We wonder if Hicks cooked for Sonya English, his selection for a date on Fox’s mating show, The Choice? Hopefully, we will find out when the show broadcasts the outcome of their love connection 9 p.m. tonight.
In the meantime, fans can catch Hicks all summer at Bally’s in Las Vegas.
“Road House Eats” will air on The Food Network 9:30 a.m. Aug.4, 5 p.m. Aug. 6, and noon, Aug. 13.
Watch Hicks below on Fox 5 Las Vegas performing “Takin’ It To The Streets”:
