After weeks of false rumors claiming that Beyonce had given birth, the singer has finally really had her child.
Beyonce, 30, checked into the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York on Saturday and gave birth to her first baby with husband with Jay-Z. They’ve reportedly named the baby Blue Ivy Carter, according to E! Calls to Beyonce’s rep for confirmation were not immediately returned.

Several celebrities tweeted congratulations to the new parents, including Rihanna, who wrote, “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih.”
Russell Simmons wrote, “congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.”
Fans had been eagerly awaiting the birth of Beyonce’s first child. Rumors began circulating more than a week ago that the powerhouse couple had already given birth to their child, but Beyonce’s sister Solange quickly put those rumors to rest.
Instead of putting out a press statement, the “Single Ladies” singer announced her baby news in August on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards. She posed openly for photos, rubbing her growing baby bump. She even gave a shoutout to her future child while performing during the show.

“Honestly, I just felt free,” she said of her pregnancy reveal in an ABC interview with Katie Couric. “I really did, because I’d been holding the most exciting thing in for so long, and I just felt like, ‘Wow, now I can enjoy and now I can just experience this the way that every woman should,’ ” she said. “I felt like, ‘Oh, I can breathe and be happy. It was a beautiful feeling. … I went straight off the stage and cried. I hugged my mom, I hugged Jay and just cried. It was a beautiful day.”
