Yes, Beyonce can sing the national anthem.
At a pre-Super Bowl press conference (that at times seemed more like a contest for a princess’ hand in marriage), the halftime performer answered critics who accused her of lip-syncing the National Anthem at Obama’s inauguration last week. She belted out “The Star Spangled Banner,” thus proving that she can indeed sing the song, and then told reporters that she had sung to a backing track with the Marine Corps Band during the swearing-in ceremony.

“I am a perfectionist … I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra,” she said, defending her decision. “It was a live television show and a very important moment for me.”
She continued, explaining, “Due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound-check, I did not feel comfortable taking the risk … so I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track, which is very common in the music industry. And I’m very proud of my performance.”
She also insisted that she loved haters.
In addition, Beyonce answered such hard-hitting questions as “What color is your toothbrush?”
Note: It’s multi-color, both blue and white.
