The interview seemed believable enough. Beyonce speaks of her “instant connection” with her first baby with rapper Jay-Z, who she apparently calls an “inspirational husband.” All fine and good… if she had actually said any of those things.

“Completely made up,” the superstar mom’s rep tells Access Hollywood of an interview published by UK gossip magazine Star and picked up by several news and entertainment outlets on Tuesday.
And while the R&B singer’s rep insists that it’s “absolutely not” legitimate, the Star UK’s editor is standing by what they called the “world exclusive first interview” with the new mother about the birth, her husband’s loving fathering skills, and the couple’s tight security.

“It is not made up or fictitious at all,” the editor tells the news site. “We bought the interview from a reporter in the U.S. who conducted the interview with Beyonce before the birth. The reporter then obtained the ‘top-up’ info after the birth, which we believe to have been signed off by a girl on her LSM [labor service management] team.”
The couple’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, was born on January 7 at the Lenox Hill hospital in New York City, the couple confirmed in a statement two days after the birth. And the hosptal officially shot down reports that the hip hop power couple shelled out $1.3 million to book a whole floor in the maternity ward, and inconvenienced other patients with an overzealous team of bodyguards.
