The Billboard Music Awards began in style on Sunday when the biggest stars came out at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez kicked off the proceedings to premiere the official anthem of this year’s FIFA World Cup, “We Are One (Ole Ola).”

Lopez was also honored with the Icon Award, and later in the night performed “First Love,” a single lifted from her new studio album A.K.A., which is set for release from Capitol Records on June 17.

Host Ludacris welcomed audiences to the star-filled show, telling the crowd that he still remembered when he first landed on the Billboard Music charts.
Imagine Dragons were one of the first big winners of the night, before an energetic performance by One Republic got the audience on their feet as American Idol alum Jordin Sparks sang along from the front row.
