Empire‘s Jussie Smollett and Bryshere “Yazz” Gray performed with Estelle at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday night.
Smollett and Estelle opened the performance with their inspiring hit “Conqueror” from the Empire soundtrack. Gray later joined with a line of backup dancers dressed in all black, bringing the audience to its feet for “You’re So Beautiful.”
Empire‘s music has become as popular as the TV show. The soundtrack debuted as No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart when it was released.
The Billboard Music Awards were co-hosted by Ludacris and Chrissy Teigen and featured performances by artists including Wiz Khalifa, Fall Out Boy, Kanye West and Ed Sheeran.
