You know what they say, if it ain’t broke…
That seems to be the strategy for Meghan Trainor, who has been rocking sequined, long-sleeve bodycon dresses both on stage and on the red carpet since she burst onto the scene last year with her single, “All About that Bass.”
At Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, the 22-year-old arrived in a blue sequin number by Michael Costello with bold shoulder pads. “It fits like a glove and I look like a sparkly mermaid,” she told E!’s Jason Kennedy as she hit the magenta carpet with her brother, noting that the look matched her performance ensemble — yet another sequined long-sleeve dress.

Though the silhouette stays roughly the same, Trainor has experimented with different hues. Classic black, bold magenta and bright gold gowns have all been on rotation in the performer’s wardrobe.

Not to mention, Trainor also donned a glittering look while performing (and falling) on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week. Shine on, Meghan.
