Alicia Keys, John Legend, BTS, Demi Lovato, Post Malone featuring Tyla Yahweh, Brandy and En Vogue are among the stars set to perform on the 2020 Billboard Music Awards.
Sia, Bad Bunny, Doja Cat, Kane Brown featuring Swae Lee and Khalid, SAINt JHN and Luke Combs will also take the stage during the Kelly Clarkson-hosted awards show set to broadcast live from Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. Clarkson will kick off the show with a performance of Whitney Houston’s “Higher Love” with Pentatonix and Sheila E.
Presenters include Addison Rae, Cher, Garcelle Beauvais, Jane Lynch, Jay Ellis, Jharrel Jerome, Julia Michaels, Lilly Singh, Nicole Richie, Spencer X, Taraji P. Henson, TwinsthenewTrend and tWitch.
Keys has won nine Billboard music awards and last performed with Stevie Wonder on the awards show. Bad Bunny, Combs and Post Malone, this year’s most nominated artist, will make their BBMA performance debuts.
Demi Lovato, Sia and En Vogue will provide moving social justice messages with Lovato offering the world premiere of new music; Sia performing her latest single, “Courage to Change”; and En Vogue, celebrating their 30th anniversary, performing “Free Your Mind.”
Taking the Xfinity Stage, Brandy will make her BBMA performance debut with “Borderline,” “Almost Doesn’t Count” and “No Tomorrow” featuring Ty Dolla $ign.
Brown, Lee and Khalid, all nominated for multiple awards this year, will take the stage for the world premiere performance of “Be Like That,” while first-time nominee Doja Cat will make her BBMA performance debut with a medley of chart-topping hits.
Legend will perform “Never Break” from his latest album, Bigger Love.
Post Malone leads the 2020 BBMA nominations with 16. Other top nominees include Lil Nas X with 13, Billie Eilish with 12, Khalid with 12, Lizzo with 11 and Kanye West with nine.
It was previously announced that Garth Brooks would perform as part of receiving this year’s Icon Award.
The Billboard Music Awards is produced by Dick Clark Productions, which shares a parent company with The Hollywood Reporter.
