Billy Joel helped make the New York Mets’ win against the Kansas City Royals extra special during Game 3 of the World Series by joining the crowd for a sing-along of his hit tune “Piano Man.”
Joel, a New York native, couldn’t help but belt out a few lines of his classic song while it played throughout Citi Field during the 8th inning on Friday night (Oct. 30). Playing “Piano Man” has become a tradition for the team in recent years.
Joel, who sported a Mets cap, joyously serenaded the ecstatic crowd while his longtime booking agent, Dennis Arfa, and actor/comedian Kevin James sat beside him. Earlier in the evening, he kicked off Game 3 with a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem.
