For religious (no pun intended) Kanye West fans, a Bible is now available on Etsy that replaces every mention of God’s name in the book of Genesis with West’s, Consequence of Sound first reported.
Etsy user The Book of Yeezus is selling the hardback book, with a gold-leaf imprinted title on the cover, for $20. The idea was sparked as a need for Generation Y to have a superstar that will “accompany that generation through it’s evolution, being a part of and ultimately shaping its identity.”
“At it’s simplest, it is the book of Genesis, modified to feature “Kanye” or “Yeezus” in the place of God or Y—A,” the Etsy site states. “‘In the beginning Kanye created the heaven and the earth… And Kanye said, Let there be light: and there was light.'”
The user describes the book as a “Bible for the New Age” that celebrates the “grandeur of mega-icon Kanye West.”
