Chris Brown made headlines Tuesday for trashing his GMA dressing room because he was upset he was asked about his past assault on Rihanna.
The outburst comes a week before the singer is expected to perform on Dancing With the Stars, which airs on ABC, home of GMA.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Brown’s performance was still happening. A DWTS spokesperson told THR: “Chris Brown is performing on Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday, March 29.”
GMA‘s Robin Roberts has also welcomed him back on the morning show. “I wish him the absolute best,” she said on GMA Wednesday morning. “We extended the invitation to him [to come back], and sure hope he takes us up on it because I’d sure love to have another chat with him.”
For now, the singer (who is said to be having an album release party Tuesday night in NYC, reports E!) is laying low.
After Tuesday’s GMA incident, Brown Tweeted (according to TMZ): “I’m so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t.”
But the message has since been removed.
He has been Tweeting fans, thanking them for their support. One Tweet read: “Thank you to everyone who supports my music!!! Key Word (music) !!! Love y’all”
ABC News stands by its interview. A statement released Tuesday reads: “As always, we ask questions that are relevant and newsworthy, and that’s what we did in this interview with Mr. Brown.”
