DMX was originally scheduled to leave Arizona’s Yuma prison on July 13, but he earned a longer sentence due to drug possession behind bars.

The Ruff Ryders MC was arrested in November 2010 and sentenced to a year in prison for parole violation. As an inmate, he also broke rules — possessing drugs, failing or refusing a drug test, smoking, and being disrespectful, disruptive and disorderly, according to TMZ.
A source close to DMX’s camp told Billboard.com’s The Juice that the rapper has earned up to 30 more days of incarceration. He has a total of seven disciplinary infractions.
DMX has been prepping his seventh studio album, Redemption of the Beast. The album is slated for late this year.
